LibMed
Présentation
Grâce à une étroite collaboration avec Aurélien Montel (Université Toulouse 2), LibMed voit le jour à l’automne 2021. Cette initiative ambitionne de revisiter l’histoire de la Libye médiévale en associant des chercheurs issus de différents horizons académiques. Ce programme se concentre sur l’inventaire des sources, le renouvellement des analyses et la mise en place de chantiers collaboratifs.
LibMed se décline en trois volets :
- un travail scientifique d’édition et de traduction des textes auxquels s’adosse toute étude de cette période
- une entreprise de réexamen historiographique qui repart de travaux existants mais pas toujours diffusés et propose des perspectives de réflexion en évitant l’écueil périphériste trop souvent attaché à cette région
- l’élaboration de partenariats technologiques, notamment à destination de nos interlocuteurs libyens.
À cet effet, un Webinair en anglais et en arabe, hébergé par la plateforme Zoom et accessible à tous : Revisiting the History of Medieval Libya (7th-16th centuries) est organisé depuis 2021. Le programme de la 3e saison est consultable infra.
Par ailleurs, une collection scientifique a été lancée en 2023 chez Brill : Libya Islamica (https://brill.com/view/serial/LIS), avec un premier ouvrage paru : حافظ عبدولي، من تريبوليتانيا إلى أطرابلس: المشهد التعميري خلال العصر الوسيط المتقدّم بين التواصل والتحوّلات، (2023)
