- Research topic
Full-time researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (UMR 8167 Orient & Méditerranée, Paris).
My studies focus on the history of populations and the evolution of the settlement pattern in the Arabian Peninsula and the Horn of Africa from the Bronze Age to the beginning of Islam. I have a particular interest in the political and cultural mapping of ancient Arabia.
My research led me to explore archaeological sites in several countries : Saudi Arabia (Najrân, al-Kharj, Medina), Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (Mleiha, Bithnah), Ethiopia (Eastern Tigray), Yemen (Hasî, Makaynûn, Sharmah, Wâdî Jirdân).
